MAC HAS IN-BUILT TETRIS

Instructions:

  1. Go to Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal
  2. Type in “emacs” and press Enter
  3. Wait for all the welcome info to appear
  4. Press Esc
  5. Type in “x” and then “tetris” straight away
  6. Press Enter
  7. ENJOY YOUR GAME OF TETRIS

Baked sweet potato wedges with apple sauce!

I’ve posted the recipe before but I’ll repeat it again since I can’t be bothered looking for the post again. It’s amazing kfdjngksjnfkgjsfg and now I can tell you all that first hand

SWEET POTATO WEDGES

Ingredients:

  • 4 large/6 small sweet potatoes
  • 1 tbspn olive oil
  • 2 pinches of salt

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees celsius
  • Chop the sweet potatoes into wedges (so much harder to cut than I thought omg)
  • Grease a tray/line it with baking paper and add the potatoes, oil and salt and mix
  • Bake potatoes for 40 minutes

APPLE SAUCE

Ingredients:

  • 500g apples, skinned
  • 1 tbspn lemon juice
  • 2 tbspns caster sugar
  • 1 dash of cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup water

Instructions:

  • Combine the apples and water in a saucepan and simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes/until the apples are soft
  • Take off heat, add sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon
  • Allow mixture to cool before processing

Voila! :D

Michelle’s daily salad!

I’m a really picky eater, so there’s only a few veggies I like to eat. I’M NOT A VEGETABLE GIRL AT ALLLLLLLLLLLLL.

Ingredients:

  • Lettuce
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Pan fried salmon (or fish/some sort of meat)
  • Canned corn
  • Sliced mushrooms
  • Cucumber

Dressing:

  • Soy sauce
  • Vinegar (any kind - I use Japanese rice vinegar)

JUST MIX EVERYTHING AROUND AND ENJOY

K-k-k-kay, people have been asking for my weight loss/health regime and I haven’t had the chance to post until now

A few things:

Don’t starve yourself! Once you lower your calorie count to almost 0, your body learns to accommodate and even though you might have really quick weight loss initially, once you start binging (and your brain WILL be telling you to eat and make you hungry), the overload of calories will be stored as fat because your body is so used to having an extremely calorific intake.

Drink a LOT of water - two reasons. Firstly, it fills you up. Secondly, it hydrates you.

Portion control. Eat little bits, not huge, huge meals at a time - the latency period means your body isn’t burning constantly and when you haul it with food, it takes longer. The rate of metabolism increases or something, iderno. I’m just making up crap HAHAHAHA.

Try to minimise the number of carbohydrates you eat, because they’re really high in calories… and the order of burning food is carbohydrates before fats. Soooo, if you eliminate carbs from your diet then you burn fat directly. Everything gets broken down into the same energy anyway, so if you eat protein and everything else, you won’t do any harm. In fact, protein is probably better lol.

Because I’m nocturnal, I tend to wake up really late so I’m not bothered eating breakfast. No point waiting like an hour before lunch so I just skip breakfast and eat lunch. I’m usually sleep deprived so I have a pepsi max in the morning when I wake up to caffeine-ise myself, LOL OKAY IT’S NOT GOOD FOR ME BUT WHATEVER.

Lunch: A BIG ASS SALAD

  • Mushroom
  • Lettuce
  • Cucumber
  • Corn (it’s a carb but it’s so good omfg sue me)
  • Pan-fried fish - I usually have salmon :-)

You can put whatever you want in it, really. BIGGEST PIECE OF ADVICE: DRESSINGS ARE A KILLER. Omg, dressings are what undoes all the good of the salad. Instead of having like the full mayo/balsamic/whatever dressing, I usually put vinegar (japanese sushi rice vinegar/cider) and mix it with soy sauce and it sounds really, really weird but it’s so good dfkjgnksfdjngkjsndfg.

After lunch I usually eat a bowl of fruit. Nothing fixed, just whatever mum has in the fridge - apple, kiwi fruit, strawberries etc. etc. etc.

Dinner: Homemade “”“”“”“”“chirazizushi”“”“”“”“” (iderno what else to call it lol)

  • 1/2 bowl of rice (carbs!!!!!!! but it’s rice cause I’m azn)
  • Cucumber
  • Prawn
  • Sashimi
  • Egg
  • Seaweed
  • Japanese mayonaise (SLAP ME)
  • 1 tbspn sushi vinegar
  • Rice seasoning

Again, you can put whatever you want in it. I’m really picky with what I eat so y-e-a-h.

Mix everything together

YEAH OK IT LOOKS WEIRD DON’T JUDGE but it’s so good. I cut everything up and then add 1-2 drops of soy sauce per spoon of this every time I eat.

SO GOOD

After dinner: more fruit! :D

The only thing I need to be more healthy is to exercise but that’s not going to happen lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you eat a lot of junk, it takes a lot of effort to change your eating habits in the first few days but afterwards it’s really easy so just persevere.

Michelle’s hair mask recipe #1

Not really mine, but I just grabbed whatever I had on the bench and threw it into a bowl. So technically not really my recipe but oh well.

WOO LOOKS GREAT HEY

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbspn of honey
  • 1 tbspn of olive oil
  • 1 egg

Instructions:

  1. Combine everything in a bowl and mix with a fork.
  2. Dampen your hair and mix the mask in.
  3. Sit there and wait for 10-15 minutes x0x0x0
  4. Rinse out the mask with COOL-ISH water LOL YOU DON’T WANT THE EGG COOKING IN YOUR HAIR LMAO
  5. Shampoo and condition your hair as per usual

ENJOY NICE, SILKY, SOFT HAIR

This mask is good to use about once a month. The protein from the egg is good for strengthening your hair, but too often will make your hair brittle!

Michelle’s face mask recipe #1

So I was googling face masks and, as usual, I had like half of one recipe, half of another recipe…. so I decided to make my own :D

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tspn baking powder
  • 1 tbspn olive oil
  • 1 tbspn honey
  • 1/4 apple (skinned)
  • 2 slices of cucumber
  • A dash of milk (I used normal milk because I realised the soy milk wasn’t open lawl)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Crack the egg and separate the white from the yolk.
  2. Combine the egg white, baking powder, olive oil, milk, apple and honey in a food processor (I tried mashing it with a fork LOL fail…)
  3. Turn on the processor for like 20 seconds, just until everything is blended relatively nicely. You don’t want it TOO mushy or else the mask doesn’t work.
  4. CLEAN YOUR FACE. Cleanse/exfoliate, whatever you usually do. Pat dry.
  5. There’s going to be a lot of liquid so don’t worry. Rub the liquid on your face, using as much as you want because there’s a lot and there’s going to be a lot left over.
  6. After you’re happy with the amount of liquid on your face, grab some of the pulp and dry it out a bit by squeezing some of the liquid out of it. Gently stick it to your face and don’t worry if it feels like it’s going to fall off because the egg will make it stick eventually.
  7. When you have enough apple on your face so that you look diseased, grab the cucumber, lie down somewhere, put the cucumber on your face and relax.
  8. The mask will be ready for removal when the egg white dries and tightens your face. You won’t be able to move much. Wash it off with warm water. Pat dry.
  9. Get the egg yolk and apply as much as you want on your face. I put a really thick layer because it’s a natural moisturiser! Same deal as with the egg white, it’ll be ready when it dries and prevents stretching. Wash off with warm water and pat dry.
